Here is something new we tried tonight! Tasted great and was very filling!
Ingredients:
25 medium sized mushrooms (or 18-20 large mushrooms)
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 white onion, chopped
1 egg
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cooking sherry
1 tsp. worchesthire sauce
3 tbsp. water
3 slices of bacon (optional)
Instructions:
- Clean mushrooms by wiping them off and remove stems so that you can "stuff" them.
- Mix ground beef, onion, and egg together.
- Add black pepper, salt, sherry, worchestshire, water, to the beef mixture.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Line a large cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Place the mushrooms on the cookie sheet.
- Divide the ground beef mixture between all the mushroom caps. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the meat mixture is cooked throughly.
- While mushrooms are baking fry up bacon and cool so it is ready to crumble for the top of each mushroom. (Only had one piece, so I just topped a few and it was plenty)
