Pork Tenderloin - Crock pot style

We made Pork Tenderloin last night and it was great!  For all you people that overcook pork, I suggest you try this recipe!  Thank you to Tom and Nancy for introducing us to this recipe!

Ingredients
  • 1 (2 lb.) pork tenderloin

  • 1 (1 oz.) envelope dry onion soup mix

  • 1 cup water

  • 3/4 cup red wine (whatever you like to drink)

  • 3 tablespoons minced garlic

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce (we used low sodium)

  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • In a slow cooker, add your pork along with the soup mix.  Then add your water, red wine, and soy sauce so that you coat the pork. Next add your garlic and pepper.  It says to put the garlic on top of the pork, but I just mixed it in the liquid.  :)  Set it on low for 4 hours.  If your cooker or crock pot tends to run hot, I would check your pork about 1.5 hours in to see how it is doing.

If you overcook this for some reason, the best thing to do is take the pork out of the cooker and slice it into smaller pieces.  Then take your sliced pork and put it back into the liquid for at least 15 minutes on warm.

Next time I make this, I plan to cook with onions and peppers.  Either way,  this is very easy to make and tastes awesome!  Enjoy!
