The Singer Journey has started for 2011! Danielle and I have decided to blog our personal journey of fitness and nutrition, and we're inviting you along for the ride.
2010 was an eye opener for us when it came to health, nutrition, medicine, doctors, and hospitals. We have learned alot and have worked to apply these lessons to our daily life, but we know that there is more for us to learn. This journey will be a real one. We want you to see our accomplishments. We want you to identify with our challenges. We're a work in progress, but know that if we honestly committ to our goals, we can accomplish what we set out to do.
Let me say that we are not looking for a quick fix. We've been down that road many times. After a year of being at Crossfit our goal is to maintain a consistent healthy lifestyle when it comes to exercise and nutrition. How do we react when life interferes? Do we say give up or do we push? I can honestly say that lately life has pushed us and we are ready to push back. If anything, the last 5 weeks of 2010 has taught us that both nutrition and exercise have to be in our lives at the SAME TIME. It is amazing how fast the wheels can come off if you allow them to get loose. Again, the challenge is having the humility to recognize this, push through it, and fix it.
So with some encouragement from CFC, we decided to document this journey. And with any journey, you have a beginning. Here we go......
